Kip Toner Attends NAA 60th Annual Conference and Show
By: Kip Toner ~
Last weekend, Kip Toner traveled to Kansas to participate in the week-long 60th Annual National Auctioneers Association Conference and Show in Overland Park. Extending throughout the week of July 12th-18th, the NAA Conference and Show features a wide variety of presentations, events, and exhibitions related to the auctioneering profession. Kip is the current President of the National Auctioneers Foundation, which is the fundraising and development branch of the National Auctioneers Association. As an active member of the NAA, Kip sees the National Auctioneers Association Conference and Show as a great opportunity to teach, learn, and develop new concepts related to the benefit auction industry. At past NAA Conferences, Kip has been honored to present on benefit auctions on multiple occasions, since benefit auctions are his area of special expertise. A recognized leader in the benefit auction world, Kip has been asked to serve on a number of NAA and NAF committees. As the chair for the NAA committee for the prestigious Benefit Auctioneer Specialist (B.A.S.) Designation, Kip led the committee in the development of the tests and curriculum for the course, which he has also taught in many locations throughout the nation.
This year, Kip is chairing the NAA Children’s Fun Auction at the Conference and Show, an event that gives kids from age three to pre-teen a chance to test their auctioneering skills by auctioning off a single item to the highest bidder (usually a proud parent or grandparent)! See a video of a past Children's Fun Auction featuring Kip here.
Kip is also a member of the Washington State Auctioneers Association, which is dedicated to serving auctioneers and supporting the auction industry in the state of Washington and is the local branch of the National Auctioneers Association.
